The emergence of technologies such as artificial intelligence and blockchain marks a historic turning point in the evolution of human society. Artificial intelligence, with the future developments of AGI (artificial general intelligence) and ASI (artificial superintelligence), will revolutionise the way we work, live, and interact with the world. One of the first domains to feel its effects will be the service sector, where human tasks will gradually be automated. Robotics will soon follow in the other sectors, redefining work as a whole.
Yet far from being a threat to humanity, this technological revolution offers a unique opportunity to rethink our relationship to society and to work. When artificial intelligences are linked to the blockchain, a fairer and more equitable redistribution will become possible. In the right hands, these tools can serve as levers to redirect accumulated wealth toward humanitarian and community projects, and, perhaps above all, toward the establishment of a universal income.
The advent of a universal income would allow everyone to meet their basic needs: shelter, security, food, along with an income sufficient to satisfy our social needs and our leisure. This basic income would mark the end of the obligation to work in order to survive. From then on, money, having become a vector of energy and creation, would be allocated only to those capable of creating true value for society. Entrepreneurs, creators, and innovators would no longer be driven solely by capitalist accumulation, but by a desire for positive growth for humanity.
This does not imply the end of capitalism, but its evolution toward a more humanist form. With the transparency that blockchain offers, the distribution of wealth and resources could be carried out more equitably and in alignment with the common good. Redistribution would no longer be seen as an obstacle, but as a means of freeing the brightest and most creative minds and hearts. It would make it possible to fund innovative engineers, marginal creators, and local entrepreneurs who, though invisible in the current system, would gain access to funds through decentralised systems.
Blockchain and artificial intelligence will make it possible to detect the most promising projects, not only from an economic standpoint but also a social, cultural, and community one. This flow of resources will reinvent the very notion of value creation, aligning capital with broader goals: collective growth, well-being, and the fulfilment of humanity.
And beyond innovative and humanitarian projects, this redistribution will have a profound effect on the spiritual and psychological flourishing of human beings. Once our basic needs are met, we will be able to turn toward higher aims. Freed from the struggle for survival, we will enter a new era in which collaboration, mutual aid, and human connection replace competition and individualism.
This shift from a society centred on material needs to one centred on the development of self and others will bring a new balance between the individual and the collective. It may generate a return to community and a renewed value placed on spirituality, not in a religious sense, but in a deeper sense of connection to oneself, to others, and to the universe. We might rediscover happiness in serving others, in supporting them toward their own flourishing. In helping others realise themselves, we discover that we are also contributing to our own happiness.
Still, it is important to remain vigilant in the face of certain risks. Freed from material constraints, we might be tempted to lose ourselves in the pursuit of pleasure, of lust, in the illusion of an endless hedonism, akin to a Dionysian intoxication. But there is also an immense potential for spiritual awakening, for a return to oneself, and for a deep understanding that we are one with the universe. By working collectively for the good of all, we might realise that we are, in the end, one and the same entity, the universe experiencing itself through our bodies, our minds, and our souls.
The emergence of these technologies is only laying the foundations of a future in which humankind, freed from its material chains, will be able to truly fulfil itself as a spiritual being, conscious of its place in the universe and in the human community.
